About the role
This remote position is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned and forward-thinking sales leader to join our team and guide ambitious B2B companies to achieve accelerated growth using HubSpot. The Head of Sales will lead efforts to identify and secure new HubSpot platform customers who will also utilise BBD Boom's services. You will be charged with creating and executing strategies that attract referrals to our business. This is a target-driven role, offering competitive compensation, with an emphasis on building relationships and leading a consultative sales process. Alongside a BDR and Senior Growth Consultant, your focus will be on securing high-quality, net new business - helping guide potential customers of HubSpot and Boom through the decision-making process.
Moreover, you will lead the sales process for larger deals, collaborating with our solutions architect and pre-sales team as needed. You will be responsible for the sales process from lead qualification to deal closure and report directly to the Senior Leadership Team, working in close conjunction with other members of the Growth team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Head of Sales your main role and responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the business hits its sales targets each month
-Devising and overseeing the sales strategy
-Managing the product portfolio and product pricing
-Running the weekly sales meeting
-Reporting to the SLT on key metrics including sales forecast
-Coaching and supporting the BDR and Senior Sales Consultant to generate more revenue
- Ensuring all leads are managed professionally and promptly
- Overseeing the sales process from qualified leads through to close, especially for larger deals
- Guiding SQL nurturing efforts for non-immediate opportunities
- Coordinating written proposals, quotes or SOW with the pre-sales team
- Orchestrating presentations by the wider team
- Balancing service levels when engaging Boom resources and managing customer expectations
- Timely updating CRM, managing the sales stages as defined by the Sales Process
- Providing weekly updates on sales forecasts and leading the sales forecast meetings
- Managing customer transition to Customer Success and strategising to achieve recurring revenues
- Collaborating with Marketing on potential campaigns based on customer input
- Gathering insights and aiding in the development of Boom collateral from customer engagements.
The position is remote, with monthly visits to the BBD Boom HQ in Bournemouth or Dublin.
About you
To effectively perform as our Head of Sales, you should possess:
- A minimum of 7 years of comprehensive B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- At least 3 years of sales experience within a HubSpot, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics partner
- Proven track record of selling products or services with a consultative sales cycle
- Proficiency with enterprise CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Comfortability with technology and preferably experience selling technology or tech services
- Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior prospects
- Willingness to work hard, learn, and excel
