How do I use the prospecting tool in HubSpot?

Reports > Analytics Tools > Prospects. Here you will be able to see a list of companies who visited your website, how many pages they have viewed, the number of visitors, and when they were last seen on your website.

Having the availability to track and see who’s coming to your site can be some very handy information for your sales team. It gives a further insight into the types of companies looking into your products/services. With you, you then have the power to include this into your ABM strategies.

To find the prospect tool (which is changing from the 18th August 2020, you’ll have to use the search bar to find the prospects tool):

  1. Navigate to Reports > Analytics Tools
  2. Then click Prospects at the bottom

Here you will be able to see a list of companies who have visited your website, letting you know how many pages they have viewed, the number of visitors and when they were last seen on your website.

You can click on the star icon next to each company you would like to keep track of and add them to the companies section of your HubSpot portal. When you click onto a company, it will be able to give you basic information about that company along with a potential link to view that company within LinkedIn.

Like you can for contacts, companies, deals and tickets, you can also create saved filters so you can then segment the type of companies you’re keeping an eye on, or listing out the ones that are already within your target eye.

Ensure you have the right notifications turned on so that you always know when a company has revisited your website.
