What are global modules and how are they different to normal modules?

A global module is a module that is used in more than one template. For example, A global module could be a website footer.

A global module is a module that is used in more than one template. For example, A global module could be a website footer. Unlike the modules normally used in templates, where if you make a change it will only affect that template. If you make a change to a global module the change will affect all templates it is used in. 

Please ensure that you are careful changing a global module as if a mistake happens the effect of it will be shown on all templates that module is used in.
